Time for another runamook across the Nev desert!!!

 It really is nice to just sit and watch it go by, kinda like it!  Never went across on 80 yet....

Bags are packed and I'm ready to go!!!!  GBG  No Who-dog this year, he went to play over the rainbow bridge, sigh....

Had a lunch and pit stop at the top of Carson Pass, only @8500 ft, the lowest pass to get over the mountains from KalEfornYa...

 Stopped in Austin, Nv for a rest at one of the few motels, across the street from the only breakfast place!  All good tho.....

When I arrived, my motel was across the street from the Kaw Pasture, I went over to see who was there.

Nice digs... but nobody there!  Went back to my room and checked the UTVROC forum and lo and behold, they were all takin' off in the AM!!!  No alarm clock for me!!!  GBG  Friday was a lay back and party day!!! Everyone got Mello.....  GBSEG

Headed back the next day to check things out.

We took up a couple of tables, good stuff!!! Mal ate a vein clogger!!!!! God is gonna talk to him!!!!!  Bad words will be whispered!!!!  GBG  Much later, we hope!

My pics are toast, all messed up in sequence, sorry and I can't / won't go back and fix 'um, sigh....    Where we had lunch  Hell's Backbone Grill - we were on 12 headed for the Hogsback.  It gets to a point where you have room for a road and on both sides.....  wwwaaaaaaayyyyyy down on both sides, is a drop off!  Vertigo NOT suggested!!!!

Sunday we went out to check Capitol Reef, lotsa rocky cliffs!!!

One of the roads across Nv, they all have this sign, watch out for range cattle... I saw 3 HERDS of cattle!!!  Passed within 25 feet of one laying down and she was not pleased!!!  NEVER saw an animal before!!!  3 herds!!!!! This was on Nv 375 - Extraterrestrial Highway... 100 miles of nothing, but going by Rachael..... 

Monday was time to  head thru Jellystone!!!  Both days I was blessed with high clouds,  it was even cool up on top!!!   Had my Whoa Nelly Delly sandwich at this lake...

Yeah, this lake..  GBG

On 120 headed towards Manteca, the fire a couple years ago really burned the wood!!!

Tried it last year and went to sleep 100+ miles out!  Have to stay awake this 
time!!  GBG  Been tooooo long and need some road time!   I'm doing my blog so it musta turned out OK!!!!  GBG 


On the Road again, just can't wait to get on the road again... Sing it Willy!!!

Left Friday 4/10 and arrived Monday 4/14, rally was Tues - Thurs (15 - 17)  and leave Friday 4/17.  Went over to Tyler to meet a niece I haven't seen for @35 years for a visit and  back beatin' the streets for home!!!  

Leavin' Amarillo was "fun", had @45mph gusting side wind from the right and spent most of the day passing big rigs!!   Just had to keep a firm grip on myself!!!  GBG

The only rain, and I missed a BUNCH!!!, was out day two, and it was only a few showers.  All in All, a real good ride!!!

 Had a great time at the rally and met a few folks that I've "typed to" over the VROC forum and finally had some face time!!!  Always great!  This is a fun family!  And I really do mean Family!!!

I like to take a "before" pic, no Who Dog this year, he ran off over the rainbow bridge, sigh..  I didn't take pics on the road, you can look at my map and ride in the google

When VROC - Vulcan Riders and Owners Club has a rally, the motel likes to put us all together, as far away from the rest of the motel as possible!!!  GBG  And with good cause!!!


We congregate outside and tell tall tales and stories!!  Lot of fun is had!!!

Next day (Tues 4/15, is our first ride, 3 sisters AKA Twisted sisters.   This is our first rest stop.   Bigguy is our tour guide and lives just outside Fredericksburg. 

Notice for all the "wanna be's", take it easy!!!

Had to go in the back to see what was goin' on....  Bar was open!!!  I had a root beer, my new life, Ya know.....  had to ditch the booze, ill effects, etc.....

You can see there are a few VROC paving bricks!!!!   We've been here before, not my turn!

They were even thoughtful enough to put an ATM!!!!

Next day was a quiet one, after a week of riding, I needed a quiet one!!!!  Now Ya know, when folks start a business, they do a business plan, what works, etc....


Henfeathers????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I had to take a pic of this!!!  I was walking Main St. just lookin' around.  Of course, being Thurs, Friday was "take off" day, sigh.....

I left for Tyler to visit a long lost niece for a few hours and back to beatin' the streets!!!!  Got to where 66 turns off 40 at exit 120 for some old time look see!

This Seligman,  all of Lanny's and Sherm's gals stay here!  They're real patient!

Police car, at the ready!!!  Scoots also!  On to Sherm's place! He was going to take a friend and I out to where the donkey's own the town!!!  Oatman, Az!  And they do run wild and are all over the street, and they have the right of way!

Had to stop on the way out for a water....

They are being fed hay pellets.  Used to get carrots, but the town wanted them to be fed "good stuff"!
